Kentucky Wildlife Artist – Carl M. McKinley
As a teenager, Carl began painting in oils, then turned his talents to watercolor and acrylics. His artistic interests gravitated to wildlife painting and pastoral scenes because of his love of the outdoors and nature. Realism, color, and accuracy to details are his trademark. He is self taught and says, “Any talent that I may have comes from God.” Carl has paintings in several states, and his original painting, “Four Friends” (3 native American boys with a bear cub) hangs in the Beringer Crawford Museum in Covington,Ky Ky.and “Abe’s Dilemma’s” hangs in The Lincoln Museum in Hogenville,Ky.
In our gallery we have original paintings, Giclee, prints, and hand painted ceramics.(covering a wide range of subjects, including animals, birds, landscapes, Native Americans, and more.)
Carl is the recipient of “2007 Artist of the Year” award from The Central Kentucky Art Guild
